When Common first came out in the early 1992 i wasnt a fan. I thought Breaker 19 was kinda average and "Can i borrow a dollar" had some amazing beats (with No ID on production) but at the time there was better stuff out there,(Show biz,Ag,Diamond D, Brand Nubian etc)
Then he dropped "Soul by the pound remix" which is one of the sickest rmxs EVER, turning a ok track into a banger!!!!!!
Ever since that remix in 93 i've been a huge Common fan, and lets be honest he's been one of the most consistent mc's since 93.
His new album is dropping by the end of the year and is shapley up lovely. We've already been blessed with Universal mind control and Announcement. Heres some new heat from Common which he premiered the other night in Houston. Let me know if your into it.
