Taken from Fatlace

Sadly another fallen soldier, this time rhymer and artist Rammelzee passed a couple of days ago. An established Graf artist, he finally got his deserved recognition via the legendary hip-hop cult movie Style Wars which also featured the track ‘Beat Bop’. It’s argued (convincingly) he fathered Ad Rock and B-Real’s nasal rap styles. The original pressing of ‘Beat Bop’ was produced by Jean Michel Basquiat who also designed the famed cover art and fetches thousands due to it’s scarcity. It was repressed on Profile and more recently with a limited edition poster. Good luck in finding any copies after this sad news.
