So a few hours ago we heard confirmation that MCA from the Beatie Boys passed away aged 47. This is a sad day for Hip Hop as MCA was a legend. MCA had the ill voice for starters, and as Guru said "Its all in the voice" The Beastie boys were the first credible White rappers esp with joints like "Hold It Now Hit It" and "The New Style". They opened the doors for tons of groups and MC'S over the years, and their influence can even be seen today through the likes of groups like Odd Future. I was lucky enough to meet MCA at a club i was spining at back in 2007. He was really quiet and humble. RIP
