DAME DASH IN FINANCIAL TROUBLE??????

From the New York Post:

Eastern Savings Bank has filed suit against entrepreneur Damon Dash, charging the Roc-a-Fella Records co-founder hasn't made a payment on his $78,504.20-a-month mortgage since January.

"YOU ARE IN DANGER OF LOSING YOUR HOME," reads the foreclosure action against Dash and wife Rachel Roy.

The $7.3 million mortgage was actually taken on two TriBeCa properties the couple owns, at 25 N. Moore St. and at 79 Laight St.

A rep for Dash did not return a call and e-mail for comment. The clothing big has been besieged by debtors in the past year, despite having an estimated $50 million fortune.

The Post reported last year that he owed the city $2 million in back taxes, and the mortgage suit says he has $100,000 in federal tax liens against his properties.

WESTWOOD N-SIGN RADIO 1988

When i was growing up in sunny NW london in the late 80's there was only a few areas in london that had cable, so watching yo mtv raps wasnt happening.
There were shows like "behind the beat" which would show some hip hop videos but in general you wernt seeing ANY new hip hop videos on TV. Westwood used to do a TV show called n-sign radio where he would show all the dope brand new hip hop videos of the time. THis is classic material as well as being very funny.....WATCH HERE and leave a comment!!

DJ MK IN AMSTERDAM

Last few days ive been over here in Amsterdam.
Id say Amsterdam has to be one of my favorite cities in europe alongside Barcelona, and not for the reasons you'd think.

Dam is one of the most chilled places in the world, and is great because you can walk around everywhere. If you come out here make sure you DONT just hang out in coffee shops and the red light, there so much more to do and see, and they got some of the best clubs/live venues in the world...

Big shout to my peoples, Patrick and Eva,Samira,Sammy, jerome,Edson and everyone else out here who show me love.Check out the pix from the last few days.....

DJ MK AND ROOTS MANUVA SESSION @ MAIDA VALE FOR RADIO 1

Last weekend, Roots Manuva, myself, Ricky ranking, and wagga wagga, spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon doing a session for radio 1 at the Maida vale studios.
This was the forth time for us doing one of these sessions for Auntie and its always mad kool. The maida vale studios used to be a skating rink which was then bombed in the war. After the war the BBC bought it when you go there it does look like nothing has changed there in the last 20 years.

Every atrist in the world from the stones to the Beatles to bob Marley have recorded in this studio and you kinda feel a good vibe every time you go there. We recorded 4 exclusive versions of tracks off the new Roots manuva album.

Here's a live version of"Let the spirit move you" which is my favorite cut off the Slime and Reason LP. HERE

M.I.A GETS ACCUSED OF BEING A TERRORIST???????

According to EURweb, Sri Lankan/American artist DeLon is making serious allegations against fellow Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A.

DeLon has claimed that M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" video includes imagery from terrorist group The Liberation Tiger Tamils of Eelam (LTTE), a group that is considered to be one of the most dangerous terrorist groups by the FBI.

DeLon even posted a remix of "Paper Planes" on YouTube; the remix featured evidence of M.I.A.'s use of images and symbols from the LTTE, but was later taken down by Universal Music Group because of the possible damage it could bring to M.I.A.'s reputation.

As a result of the video being taken down by Universal Music Group, DeLon plans on suing Universal for infringement against his rights to freedom of speech.

M.I.A. recently fired back at DeLon with this statement, "I don't support terrorism and never have. As a Sri Lankan that fled war and bombings, my music is the voice of the civilian refugee. Frankly, I am not trying to start dialogue with someone who is really just seeking self-promotion."
