So today marks the anniversary, of the death of one of the best MC'S Hip Hop, has ever seen. Biggie Smalls aka Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious BIG...13 years goes quickly right.

So 3 years ago i did a BEST OF BIGGIE mix for my radio show on KISS100. I did the mix 100 percent live, and it came out SICK. It was recorded in 3 parts, live on air, but i recorded a version straight from the desk, with no talking, and no ads, and i pieced the 3 mixes into one file. Impossible to fit in everything, but i tried my best.

So i recorded this mix for Hip Hop Connection magazine in 2004, for the release of there album " Milk Me." Originally the record label wanted me just to mix tracks from the "Milk Me" album, but i managed to persuade them to let me drop some classic Beatnuts as well. So early Friday morning, i headed over to Heathrow airport, to meet up with Dizzee and the crew, to go to Dublin, for the Meteor Awards (Irish version of the Brits) Bumped into Jay Electronica outside the airport, said peace, and reminded him about our interview this Wednesday!! We got to Dublin, hotel, rehearsal, hotel,food,red carpet, then SHOWTIME!!

Big up the Irish crew, always a pleasure.

SUNDAY - GLASTONBURY

So after finishing round 5am, i got back from Gullyver, then at 9am i was out of the door, to go to Glastonbury. I was alongside Roots Manuva performing on the Jazz world stge before the Black Eyed Peas. The show went amazing and the crowd was HUGE.

The sun was out and there was no mud. i wore a pair of old Jordans just in case after the mudfest of 2005, which was not a good look. The vibe at Glastonbury was very very chilled. The days of people trying to sell you drugs or charging you a tenner to climb over the wall are gone. Didnt even see one traveller, which on the one hand is a shame as its lost some of its edgyness which in fact added to the vibe and the wholle experience. On the other hanf Glastonbury is now a safe peaceful festival, which is the way it should be.

We managed to squeeze in a new track called ' All you know is Pain" which is we did as a encore, and the crowd loved it. Heres some video high lights of the show and some pix of the day.

FRIDAY - DUBAI -DJ MK LIVE @ THE APARTMENT JUMERIAH BEACH

Last Wednesday i flew from London to Abu Dhabi in the middle east. I then drove for an hour and a half to Dubai. This was my 7Th time and i ALWAYS have the sickest time out there.
The Apartment club got torn down, sweat was dripping in there. It
was about 43c whilst i was out there, and it was crazy hot. Also got taken to the ghetto area of Dubai which is some 3rd world ishh. This is where all of the workers live who work on the building sites live and it ain't pretty. Across the road you have multi millionaires, then you have the ghetto. Back out there in October, cant wait!!

CLIPSE LIVE IN NYC

Here's some footage of the Clipse performing in Webster Hall in New York the other day. Good to see them performing "Kinda Like A Big Deal" which is one of my favorite joints out right now. Til the Casket drops is the new album out this summer.Props to ESKAY.
